DNN has published the DNN Platform Version 07:02:00 (formerly Dotnetnuke) today. The new version brings some new and very useful features and bug fixes. Below I would like to present some of the highlights for application and development functions.

Since DNN Platform / evoq 7.0 of the SQL Server 2008 is a minimum requirement for DNN Platform and evoq editions. When upgrading the database or changing to another MS SQL Server compatibility level is not changed automatically , and has to be done manually. For this one can on the Execute SQL feature in DNN create a query in query system to obtain the compatibility level .

The first beta version of the DNN Platform 07:02:00 (DotNetNuke) is available for download. Affected by new functions are the users who Adminbistration, as well as the extension developer. The new default skin is now responsive and uses the bootstrap 2 for this technology. Thus, the skin adapts to the terminal used. For administrators, there is now an SQL editor with syntax highlighting and script management. Module developers can look forward to a new integrated module Creator, a new JavaScript library management and a code editor that can be used in modules. It would be even worth a look at the new version to throw, which can be obtained free of charge via http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com. Again, in the end even the hint that the beta version is not to be used in production environments, as well as an update to the release version is not possible!

Yesterday we released our new Version of the Metro7 Skin Package 07.01.00 on Codeplex.com.  The Metro7 Skin Package 07.01.00 was enhanced with a new admin Skin Control, and got some enhancements related to the DNN Platform 7.0 and 7.1 changes.  Also we fixed some of the known issues.

After upgrade the DnnBlog Module to Version 06.00.00 it could be possible that unauthenticated users have access to the 'Mange' and 'Edit Blog' Buttons, and can edit your Blog Posts. This security issue caused on an error upgrading the Database to Version 06.00.00. We have localized the issue and it would be fixed with the next release.

After the release of DNN Platform 7.0 in the default style sheets were completely re missing some of the downward compatibilities used by Metro7 skin. This meant an enormous amount of time to make these changes in the Metro7 skin for DNN Platform (formerly DotNetNuke) to integrate. Since before the first beta for the DNN Platform 7.1.0 was released, with further substantial changes that were related to our skin we decided to release an update on DNN platform version 7.1.x. The new version of Skins Metro7 contains many fixes for known bugs, as well as some feature enhancements, such as the adaptation of modal popups (jQuery), adaptation to jQuery 1.9.1 and jQueryUI 10.1.3. We hope hereby to familiarize users of our skins a better user experience. We think that the beta version has already been shipped capability, but still want to wait for the next 14 days on the feedback of our users may still be able to make changes before the final release.
